We are a sake sommelier couple living in Tokyo.
Fell in love with sake 10 years ago and decided to spread the love.
WHY?
Fell in love with sake from more than 10 years ago, we were attracted by the umami nature of sake. Since then we visited Japan few times every year, visited breweries and had numerous bar sessions to understand sake. After obtaining our sake sommelier certification, we decided to set up Sakeware Lab to share our passion and help everyone enjoy sake!
Now living in Tokyo, the hub of where all big and small brands gather, new items flood in, we are happily tasting different Japanese sake, shoju, wine and beer every night. And that's why we have more than 100 different drinkware at home- the right drinkware is so critical to the taste! We hope you will enjoy drinking with our sakeware like we do. Kanpai!
WHAT?
Our Logo is the Japanese character of alcohol "酒"- on the left is the important ingredient "Rice"; on the right is a "tokuri", sake tumbler being heated up for serving.
HOW?
We are on a tour visiting new and old pottery cities in Japan- meeting named and unnamed artists, big and small kilns. We hope to bring to you not only the artworks, but also stories.
